Institute for Spirituality and Social Justice 

The Institute of Spirituality and Social Justice (ISSJ) was established in 2014 to advance the integration of knowledge, spirituality and social engagement.  All of its offerings—intensive graduate degrees, comprehensive certificate programs and one-day programs, workshops and retreats—are designed to cultivate depth of thought, imagination and critical skills in a world challenged by violence, social inequity and environmental instability. 

ISSJ programming, certificate programs and new master's degrees make accessible the practical tools of the Spiritual Exercises, the Jesuit focus on right-relationship and ethical action, dialogical tools that accompany community engagement and empowerment, and the kind of rigorous social analysis and reflection that fuels change toward the common good.
